yacht-charter-didimAlso known as Didyma, this small historical town in yacht charter Turkey is present on many tourist maps for the famous Temple of Apollo, now but a ruin, but nonetheless an important attraction for visiting people.

The city is located in the Aydin Province on the Aegean coast of western yacht charter Turkey, some 120km from Aydin. It’s also located on the north shore of the Gulluk Gulf, opposite Bodrum peninsula. The region thrives from tourism as most of the settlements along the coast have great beaches (even their names Altinkum, Gumuskum and Sankum refer to the color of the sand there – golden, silver and yellow respectively) but there is also a large agricultural sector active, with the main crops being wheat and cotton.

Most tourists and sailors come here for the great beaches which contrast marvelously with the clear waters of the Aegean and also for the pleasant microclimate which brings hundreds of sunny days and warm winters which allow the practice of watersports even in January. Along the coast, yacht charter sailors will also find numerous peaceful bays which make exploring the region by water extremely pleasant and fun. Couple that with the numerous ruins on land, and you have the makings of a great sailing holiday.

Yacht charter Didim is famous for Apollo’s Temple, which accounts for a large number of visitors arriving here every year, but there are some other attractions here such as the waterpark, the Lake Bafa national park, not to mention other historical sites such a Miletus and Prience.

A significant part of the visiting tourists, especially yacht charter groups, come here for the award-winning new Didim marina (D-Marin Didim) which was built in 2099 with the clear aim of increasing popularity of the resort as well as offering quality services to sailing enthusiasts who come to visit this part of the country, or just locals who are into yachting.

The night scene isn’t as lively as some of the English pubs strewn along the main streets would have you believe. Most people like to sit at the water’s edge in some bar or café and admire the lights of the other cities across the bay. It’s safe to say that yacht charter Didim is a family friendly resorts, which is why the younger crowds travel to Bodrum in search of livelier entertainment.
